  • 1. Examinations will be carried out as planned in the syllabus of the course you are taking. If students are absent from a course more than one fourth of the number of the class days, they will receive a failing grade ("F") in the course.
  • 2. The instructor will give a grade according to the ratio of materials for grading (examinations, class attendance, assignments, etc.) described clearly in the course syllabus. The grades and grade points are as follows.

  • 3. The instructor will give a grade according to the ratio of materials for grading (examinations, class attendance, assignments, etc.) described clearly in the course syllabus. The grades and grade points are as follows.
  • [ sum of (grade point per course × credits) ] ÷ total registered credits (calculated to three decimal places)
  • 4. A student who is permitted a leave of absence for military service after the completion of three-quarters of the class days of the semester can be given a grade by the course instructor. The course instructor fills out the grade approval application form based on earlier examinations.
  • * Students have to submit, without fail, the grade approval application form when they hand in the application form for the leave of absence.
